“MOON RUNNER”

My family has strong ties to these beautiful Ford Coupes. My father and uncle drove them and raced them. These cars were dominant on the dirt tracks of the late 40’s and early 50’s. Due to the massive trunks on the Coupes, they were a favorite of moonshiners as well. As far as I know, no one in my family was a moonshiner, although my father did say he was pulled over and had his trunk searched on numerous occasions.
